Sayers Road Tankers recently delivered its new 8 wheeler lightweight farm collection vehicle. The tanker had many new features and a complete rethink on the pump configuration. The customers brief was to have a short overhang, narrow boot and a reduced weight over its existing vehicles. The length was reduced by fitting the Gardner Denver optiload in its own small cabinet beneath the main cabinet which held the pipe work and metering. All non load bearing parts had to be considered in order to reduce the weight and the whole design team at Sayers had to think long and hard how to achieve this. The end results were well worth the effort and good weight savings were achieved and a very quiet pumping arrangement.
